Early childhood Center: Philosophy and Goals
The Malibu Jewish Center and Synagogue Early Childhood Center offers an outstanding program for children ages 2 to 5 years old. Our program integrates an innovative curriculum with materials, experiences, and teaching methods that are grounded in the principles of child development including age and individual appropriateness within a rich Judaic environment.
Our open and creative classrooms reflect our unique mixture of Reggio, a progressive curriculum model and developmental learning philosophies. The love of learning is best accomplished through active exploration, experience, and interaction. Our indoor/outdoor classroom will provide a stimulating environment that meets the needs of the whole child.
We recognize that young children have their own special ways of learning. Each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing for growth and development. Our primary goals are to develop each child’s individual potential, promote positive feelings towards learning, and to stimulate endless opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery.
