MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS: Relaxing into Present Moment Awareness
6pm-7:30pm
October 10, 17, and 24
This class is for both beginners and experienced meditators. It is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to establish or deepen a meditation/mindfulness practice and experience more peace, clarity, freedom, and compassion in our lives. We will meet for a period of guided sitting meditation followed by a facilitated discussion and support for bringing a peaceful mind into every aspect of daily life.
Suggested donation: $20
BEGINNING HEBREW FOR ADULTS
8 Sessions October 24- December 12 at 7:00pm
Please join our experienced teacher Miriam Alpern who will help open up the mysteries of one of the world’s most ancient languages. The course will focus on understanding basic Hebrew prayers and terms, modern Hebrew, reading and writing and an intro to conversational Hebrew.
$100 fee for the entire course

The latest Hartman series is dedicated to exploring the challenges Israel faces today in light of the wisdom of the ages. Rabbi Judith will lead this stimulating discussion featuring all of the teachers of the Hartman Institute for Jewish Spirituality.

WAKING UP TO JEWISH ETHICS

Wake up to the wisdom of Jewish ethics in this lively and inclusive discussion group based on Talmudic sources. Coffee and cake served, along with great dollops of wisdom from the Sages and the wise ones in the room. No readings, no prep- just come as you are for a great hour of discussion every week.

Each year we roll out the Torah and allow its teaching to enter our lives in the context of the season. Great discussion, full participation and no homework!
