An Ocean of Opportunities
Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue’s preschool offers a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children ages two through five years old. We believe in developing each child’s natural curiosity, imagination, problem solving, and creative self-expression. We create an environment that will provide your children with the learning experiences and skills that will give them the best foundation for a successful and happy school life.
Our primary goals are to develop each child’s individual potential, promote positive feelings toward learning, and stimulate learning in all developmental areas: social, physical, emotional, and intellectual. Our indoor-outdoor classrooms take advantage of our natural environmental setting, providing your child with hands-on experiences and encouraging inquisitiveness.
Our student-teacher ratio allows for more individual instruction, creating a special bond. Open and creative classrooms reflect our unique mixture of Reggio—a progressive curriculum model—and developmental learning philosophies within a rich Judaic environment. Each Friday, the children take part in Cantor Marcelo’s world-famous musical Tot Shabbat program.
Art Without Borders, in our one-of-a-kind hands-on art studio, offers children the opportunity to work with all types of materials and mediums. For the young child, the freedom to use materials without restriction always leads to greater levels of creativity and exploration.
Our fabulous teachers inspire, respect, challenge, engage, listen, observe, encourage, and nurture our children.
Parents are always welcome at MJC&S. We encourage our families to share in the children’s everyday experiences as well as in the synagogue’s festivities.
