THE MISSION OF THE RABBI, CANTOR, BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND CONGREGANTS who embody the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue is:

TO DELIVER within our resources, programs and services which embody traditional Jewish knowledge, learning and values;

TO INTEGRATE our Tradition in contemporary society while recognizing that the integrity of Jewish Tradition requires respect for the legitimate evolution of civilization;

TO ENCOURAGE all Jews and their families to engage in any facet of our synagogue life of prayer, learning and celebration;

TO PROVIDE a synagogue which is a secular and religious center, a place to seek God and human fellowship and a house of prayer to all Jews and their families; and

TO MAINTAIN the continuity of our people as a light unto the nations, to ourselves and our children; and to maintain our commitment to democratic ideals, to the United States and to our Jewish homeland, Israel
