AWESOME! is the word that best describes a Friday night service at MJCS.
Whether on the beach at sunset during the summer months or in our in light-filled sanctuary during the winter season, the music of our magnificent cantor and the tranquil setting that surrounds us brings the peace of the Sabbath into all of our hearts.
Our services change with the holidays and the seasons. Once a month, we are led by the religious school, and often there are special musical concerts and events. Many Shabbat services are preceeded by a potluck or catered dinner. Join us for one of our upcoming services:
November 1, at 5:30 p.m.: Om Shalom Shabbat Flow
November 8, at 5:45 p.m.: Free Italian dinner sponsored by Bnai Zion Foundation, followed by followed by services led by our seventh graders. Dr. Mark Kafka, Chief of Emergency Services at Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, will be speaking on terrorism.
November 15, at 7:00 p.m.: Kabbalat Shabbat services, featuring guest speaker Nancy Pardo of Save a Child’s Heart
November 22, at 7:00 p.m. 14th Annual Chanukah Concert
